Memorandumul pentru reinnoirea Acordului dintre Guvernul Romaniei si UNESCO privind CIFRA a fost aprobat

In sedinta de guvern din 14 aprilie 2022 a fost adoptat Memorandumul de reinnoire a Acordului dintre Guvernul Romaniei si UNESCO privind functionarea Centrului International de Pregatire Avansata si Cercetare in Fizica (CIFRA), ca Centru categoria a 2-a sub auspiciile UNESCO.
Acordul va fi semnat de Ministerul Cercetarii, Inovarii si Digitalizarii (MCID), in numele Guvernului Romaniei. Conform Acordului, CIFRA va avea autonomia necesara in desfasurarea activitatilor sale si capacitatea legala de a incheia contracte, de a institui proceduri legale, de a dobandi si dispune bunuri mobile si imobile. Totodata, MCID va furniza resursele financiare sau in natura, necesare pentru administrarea si buna functionare a Centrului.
CIFRA va functiona ca filiala cu independenta juridica a Institutului National de Cercetare-Dezvoltare pentru Fizica Materialelor (INCDFM), cu sediul in Magurele, judetul Ilfov, in conacul Otetelesanu, recent restaurat.
MCID prin INCDFM, se angajeaza sa isi asume costul instalatiilor si echipamentelor, sa puna la dispozitia CIFRA personalul administrativ necesar pentru indeplinirea functiilor sale, sa incurajeze institutiile romanesti sa colaboreze cu CIFRA si sa aduca contributii financiare ori de alta natura.
CIFRA a fost infiintat in 2016 ca Centru categoria a 2-a, sub auspiciile UNESCO si este singurul centru UNESCO din Romania.
CIFRA actioneaza ca centru regional UNESCO si ofera oportunitati de pregatire si cercetare in laboratoare din Romania pentru studenti din Europa de Sud-Est precum si din tari mai putin dezvoltate, cu mandat suplimentar de promovare si sustinere a femeilor în știință prin programele sale.

Centrul desfasoara cercetari avansate in fizica si domenii conexe, activitati de promovare in domeniile educatiei si cercetarii si ofera expertiza factorilor de decizie si publicului larg in aceste domenii.

 

 

The Memorandum for the renewal of the Agreement between the government of Romania and UNESCO on CIFRA was approved
In the government meeting of April 14th,2022 the Memorandum for the renewal of the Agreement between the government of Romania and UNESCO on CIFRA as a category 2 Center under the auspices of UNESCO was adopted.
The agreement will be signed by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitization (MCID), on behalf of the Romanian Government. According to the Agreement, CIFRA will possess the necessary autonomy to carry out its activities and will have the legal capacity to conclude contracts, to establish legal procedures, to acquire and dispose of movable or immovable goods.
MCID will provide the financial or in-kind resources necessary for the administration and proper functioning of CIFRA. CIFRA will operate as a legally independent subsidiary of National Institute of Materials Physics (INCDFM), with its headquarters in Magurele, Ilfov County, in the recently restored Otetelesanu mansion.
MCID through INCDFM, commits to undertake the cost of facilities and equipment, to provide CIFRA with the necessary administrative staff to perform its functions, to encourage Romanian institutions to collaborate with CIFRA and to bring financial or other contributions.

CIFRA was established in 2016 as a category 2 Center, under the auspices of UNESCO and is the only UNESCO center in Romania.

CIFRA acts as a UNESCO regional center and offers training and research opportunities in laboratories in Romania for students from South-Eastern Europe as well as from less developed countries, with an additional mandate of promoting women in science through its programs.
The Center conducts advanced research in physics and related fields, promotion activities in the fields of education and research and offers expertise to decision makers and the general public in these fields.
