CIFRA has started implementation of a new microscience project in STEM education
Integrating and Supporting STEM in the Educational Curriculum through UNESCO Microscience Experiments Project
STEM fields are crucial for societal progress and economic growth. In Romania, the government is integrating and supporting STEM education through initiatives like the UNESCO Microscience Experiments Project (UMEP). This hands-on project empowers students to explore basic sciences, AI, and robotics, aiming to spark interest in scientific careers, promote gender equality, and enhance STEM education. By improving educators’ skills and expanding access to science experiments, especially in disadvantaged areas, UMEP is helping to build a stronger STEM workforce for the future.
CIFRA commits to this endeavor through the RO-microscience project: Integrating and Supporting STEM in the Educational Curriculum through UNESCO Microscience Experiments Project.
This project was selected within the Call “Revitalizing STEM Education to Equip Next Generations with STEM Competency” launched by the UNESCO Regional Bureau in Venice and Huawei Technologies, and will be implemented by CIFRA and its partners in collaboration with UNESCO Regional Bureau
